DRAFT DAY 2020 DETAILS

Hello, League! Another Holiest of Days, DRAFT DAY, is upon us!

This year's draft will be similar to drafts in recent years, but with better technology. Instead of a Facebook live stream into the Commish's draft room, where it takes thirty seconds for us in the room to see and reply to your comment, we are using the relatively new Facebook Video Room feature! All you need is a laptop or phone with a camera and microphone (which most modern technology has). This will give us all a way to communicate easier with each other while drafting.

The draft is on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day). As required by the Constitution, we will convene the Rules Committee (all members) at 6 PM Central Standard Time. At about 5:50 PM, I will post a link in our Facebook group. Click that link to join the video room. In order to facilitate a simple and quick meeting, I will go over the agenda and I will recognize anyone wishing to speak for a proposition. I will also go down a members list for roll-call votes.

After the Rules Committee has adjourned, the room will simply stay open for us to use during the draft, which begins at 7 PM Central Standard Time. The video room will be opened in a new internet window (not a tab), so while you bounce between the video stream and the draft screen, other members will still be able to see and hear you. Or, you are welcome to draft from one device and stream from another!

For those still wishing for an in-person experience, any and all are welcome to come to my apartment (1506 Lee Drive, Apt 9, Bellevue, NE 68005) to draft. I will be in touch to personally invite you.
