Some of the Breakfast League's most dramatic changes in its seven-year history were passed into law on January 9th with the postseason Rules Committee Meeting.
Perhaps the biggest change - less in impact, but more in League tradition - was the election of former Lieutenant Commissioner Al Ohlinger to the Commissioner's chair for the first time. Kenneth Pancake chose not to run for re-election citing personal reasons, instead choosing to run as Al's Lieutenant Commissioner - flip-flopping the two executives.
In addition, the League passed the Kaelan Act, dramatically adjusting the League's Constitution. The Kaelan Act featured three key parts:
All settings changes in the League (settings is to mean any non-Constitutional changes) will be solely at the discretion of the Commissioner;
The Commissioner will be banned from altering the settings to his personal benefit; and,
For any votes in the future, the vote shall be posted in the Facebook page and sit there for two days for discussion and submission before being taken as official.
The League also welcomed a new member after witnessing the departure of former 2015 Champion and founding member Brandon Gaede. The new member is Connor _______, a friend of Alex Annan's.
The League also proposed and passed the Taysom Hill rule. The exact wording of the proposal was not available at the time of this writing (Al - help!). The regular season was extended by one week. The League was also reformatted to be three divisions of four members, instead of four divisions with three members. And finally, the Commissioner was given discretion to assign Conferences at his leisure, with no constitutional limit on frequency of change or membership.
