Post-Week Power Rankings (Week 6)

Daren Lincourt

Is it time for week 6 already, seems like the seasons really flying by. The nights are finally getting chilly and being upstate as I am in New York, I couldn’t be happier. With a nice cup of joe here and a losing Red Sox game to watch tonight (please make it to game 7) let’s get into it and dive into good old week six.

12.) CoronaVirus Crowns (1-5) (586.74)

With the league’s lowest pf and a roster that doesn’t inspire confidence I put the crowns here in 12th. Could this be a hot team if McCaffery wasn’t injury prone, maybe but not until week 9 at the earliest by which it might be too late. The bye weeks hit hard as well making for poor lineup options into the week. All it takes is one week or deal to turn it around so here’s hoping.

11.) Waddlin Tua MAHOMIES (2-4) (586.78)

I see a trend with the Homies and Crowns both being almost tied for leagues lowest PF. Plagued by injuries and low points performances this team needs a lot of help to supplement Mahome’s mvp status. A lack of depth at RB worries me going forward, trading Barkley away adds to the uncertainty of who leads this team on the ground in the weeks to come. Is it Mahome’s week or is it another lost opportunity it’s all in his hands.

10.) Koo Koo Ka Choo (2-4) (665.24)

So close what a week. Almost brought down the #1 seed if it wasn’t for an amazing comeback led by Derrick Henry himself. It’s a rough pill to swallow but this is a good lineup that’s capable of a lot more wins down the line. Some good death and solid starters, led by Lamar Jackson. 132 points without him really showing up is great, on weeks he does it’s a whole different animal. Of all the 2-4 teams this one is primed for making up some ground.

9.) That’s Football (3-3) (664.44)

A lot of the teams at 3-3 were hard to rank this week. Every team has its ups and downs based on luck. 138 points on a losing week is some of that bad luck, it was a good team score with a solid roster, fantasy gods are rough that way. Three startable running backs is a great thing to have especially this year where good running backs are hard to come by. The spots for 8th, 9th came down to pf being just a few below.

8.) Team Suspension (3-3) (671.16)

That’s a close win. 106.7 to 106.12, sorry Dan. Led by the stud that is Cooper Kupp this is a solid team even with lower production last week. Herbert is the future; every QB has a bad week, going forward he’s MVP material for sure. At 3-3 with a solid lineup that’s remained healthy and a solid pickup via trade for Barkley this team will be fine after the bye week. This week’s rough but it’s something every team in the league is feeling.

7.) Premarital Fournettecation (2-4) (737.32)

That’s rough buddy, when your team is led by the Bill’s lead man it stings most when both come up short. This team is extremely hard to rank. I love the roster and the points production at 737 pf is hard to ignore. It comes down to results at the end of the day and being at 2-4 is not what you want to see with a team producing this much. Going forward this lineup is too good not to crank out some wins it’s just a matter of time. This week the bills are on a bye, Dan’s Bills I mean fantasy team still looks solid for the week. The bye didn’t hurt this team to much at all.

6.) Morning Chubb (3-3) (719.92)

Coming off a nice win via Stafford and some suburb defense this team sits solidly in the middle part of the power rankings at 6. A decent lineup with a lot of depth is good to make up for the injuries that have acquired especially at RB. While Chubb should be back soon, having good options makes up for the loss in points production. A high PF at 719 and being 3-3 is a good sign moving forward, this Chubb’s here to stay.

5.) FloridaState SeminalVesicles (4-2) (688.14)

I had this team originally at 3rd ahead of myself and Kenny, but I had a hard time weighing it out. It didn’t have the highest pf or the best depth on the roster. What this team does have is 2 startable RBs in Aaron Jones and James Robinson. With solid outings from both alongside Tyreek Hill at WR this team is extremely productive and reliable with the three in. Besides them though depth seems to be an issue especially with 3 QBs on the roster. It’s nothing to fear though with both these running backs last season I did do pretty well, got a soft spot for the two in any lineup. A win this week without Robinson would prove my doubts wrong in a tough matchup.

4.) Can You Diggs It? (4-2) (687.86)

You know what’s worse than losing a close matchup, having that guy also put himself ahead of you in the power rankings. Jokes aside I really like Kenny’s lineup; injuries have just been rough, and the trend continues. With Ekeler on bye this week it will be a battle to beat out the underdog Dan even without the Bills playing this week. I’m not sure how sold I am on Carson Wentz, though with Russel Wilson down for the count Wentz has continued to perform.

3.) Cassius Darsh (4-2) (713.56)

Boy did I get lucky, but hey we take those. I seem to always be putting myself at 4th or 3rd and it always seems a fitting spot. Got a solid lineup but injuries have really piled up for me at running back. With a stud in Elliot and a solid wavier pickup in D’Ernest Johnson (spoiler it worked out for the week) I feel confident to have a few more solid showings for a while till my roster gets healthy. Plenty of depth down the line and Tom Brady at the helm makes for a good feeling especially sitting at 4-2. D’Ernest Johnson might be my waiver pickup of the year for the 3 weeks I really need a solid RB2.

2.) Crazy Train (3-3) (771.4)

For 2nd this week I have Crazy Train even being at just 3-3. This team has solid depth and production for days. Coming off an impressive 172.3 win with great points from most skill positions there’s little to worry about. The only things I’d have considered before was Jalen Hurts but boy he puts in the runs even in a loss. The only thing holding this roster back is making up the ground with wins to my 1st ranked team of the week.

1.) Conner Party (5-1) (824.82)

What a comeback led by none other than Derrick Henry and Dak Prescott. Those two go together perfectly for this team with a stellar lineup and the top pf in the league. There is 238.08 point split between this team and the bottom team, 238 points! It’s only been 6 weeks and this team doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. This is the best team in the league no questions asked, results show being the league’s best record alongside the pf at 5-1. Even without Dak on the week, Derrick Henry is ready to carry this team all the way to another solid showing.
